As early as the 8th century, a variety of fruit-flavored fizzy drinks could be found in the Middle East. Unfortunately, today’s sodas have wandered far from those healthy beginnings with most popular brands packed with either too much sugar or artificial sweeteners and artificial flavors. If you want something healthier and closer to the “original” fizzy drink – best to make it yourself!

1 cup frozen diced mango
1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1 cup fresh passionfruit pulp
Mint leaves to garnish
2 cups chilled sparkling mineral water
1 cup crushed ice
Put mango and orange juice in a blender and blend until smooth.
Transfer to a pitcher and stir in passionfruit pulp until well combined.
Divide between two tall serving glasses. Add sparkling water and ice, and garnish with mint leaves.
