This recipe for Passionfruit, Mango, & Orange Fizz makes two servings, but no one will blame you if you keep it all to yourself! This is one sweet treat that is guilt free!

If you’ve been looking for some help giving up diet or regular sodas which offer no nutritional value – a fizz is the answer! For many people it’s the carbonation that is what makes a summertime drink to appealing and refreshing. The sparkling mineral water (or soda water) you add to this recipe makes this fizz super satisfying. The orange juice, passionfruit, and mango make this sweet treat a 10 on the health meter. You really can’t go wrong!

If you’re trying to get your kids to give it a try, let them know that the original “sodas” were fruit flavored fizzy drinks. As early as the 8th century, a variety of fruit-flavored fizzy drinks could be found in the Middle East.  Unfortunately, today’s sodas have wandered far from those healthy beginnings with most popular brands packed with either too much sugar or artificial sweeteners and artificial flavors. If you want something healthier and closer to the “original” fizzy drink – best to make it yourself!

Ingredients

1 cup frozen diced mango
1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1 cup fresh passionfruit pulp
Mint leaves to garnish
2 cups chilled sparkling mineral water
1 cup crushed ice

Directions

Put mango and orange juice in a blender and blend until smooth.

Transfer to a pitcher and stir in passionfruit pulp until well combined.

Divide between two tall serving glasses. Add sparkling water and ice, and garnish with mint leaves.
